I created this piece using a controlled palette of colors; I wanted it to be semi-cubistic, but it was too much of a challenge contending with my subconscious knowledge of the softness of a woman. Perhaps when I complete it, I will have found a way to sharpen some of her curves.

 




This is phase 2, unfortunately, none of my photographs seem to capture the true richness of the colors in this piece. This photo is much closer to the actual appearance of the painting than the one above.

I am happy with the direction  I'm going in with relation to the form of my subject and treatment of the semi - cubistic / pointilistic approach to the application of the color modules. I also like the stability of the overall drawing and it's tonality.
